We couldn’t believe that no-one in HK stocked these amazing candlesticks and bowls.   By Lassen was founded by Søren Lassen and Nadia Lassen, the grandson and greatgranddaughter of renowned Danish architect Mogens Lassen.   The beautiful elegant designs of his candlesticks, designed according to Bauhaus principles, looks as good as it did when it was designed in the 60s.

Founded in 1884, by the inquisitive and entrepreneurial minds of two brothers, Carrière Frères Industrie is the keeper of wax craftsmanship from the XVIII century. At the dawn of the industrial revolution, obsessed with patents and new inventions, the Carrière brothers revamped wax-making.  Carrière Frères Industrie still provides the candles for Basilique du Sacré Coeur.   Now produced by Cire Trudon, Carrière Frères candles are known for their simple fragrances based on a single flower.  Soliflore scents are inspired by exotic or indigenous oils, and reminiscent of the romantic “language of flowers”, in vogue during ‘la Belle Epoque’.  Oprah loves these candles!

Sally Kubo-Starr founded Sallbo in 2004.  Her work can be found on shelves from Japan to Los Angeles and now in Hong Kong.   Sally is now currently working on products such as lucite and glass trays and boxes, handbags and tote bags and expanding her paper product range  in collaboration with Eclectic Cool.   We will be launching these products at the Conrad Fair on 27th November.
